Here...there and everywhere!

We have been running here and there and everywhere it seems. As I often reflect on the previous week on Sunday's during quiet time, the same thought crosses my mind almost every single Sunday.....where in the world does time go?! Gosh, now the last week of October, Halloween next weekend and the Holidays literally just around the corner! Crazy!

Last week Dylan had a very special week at pre-school. Friday Grandpa was able to spend the afternoon with Dylan at school learning a little bit about Dylan's school and the things he is learning. They first started with lunch and of course Dad said that Dylan was so excited he wouldn't hardly eat a thing! Then it was a tour of the school and of Dylan's pre-school room and then the days events ended with a Mass. Dylan was SO excited that Grandpa & Keeley were able to come and see his preschool. He loves school so much and is very excited to share what he is learning. As a parent, that is the most incredible feeling when your child is so excited to learn every single day and relay to you those new things. We know now more than ever that Dylan is in the most perfect place, and we are very happy that God led us there :)

This weekend we spent doing a little celebrating our friends Josh & Michelle's last days before their wedding! The guys and girls all met up at Cocktails after the couples shower. The guys bus arrived and the girls bus soon arrived and we were off for a night of fun, making sure that Josh and Michelle had one last night of 'single life'! And it was Mission Accomplished! The night was fun, we ALL shared a LOT of laughs and had a really great time. We crawled home in the wee hours of this morning. Thanks Josh & Michelle for a great night out! Can't wait to celebrate at your wedding in a couple of weeks!
And a very Happy Birthday to my dear friend Kirsten tomorrow! Have a great Birthday!!
Thank you Kenzie for taking such great care of our kiddo's so we could have a parents night out!! This week it is back to the grind! Preparing for a busy work week and of course getting costumes ready for Halloween! Can't wait to share what costumes the Holub kids have in store for trick or treating!~

History in the making...

This weekend we spent celebrating....Brad's parents 35Th Wedding Anniversary!
Quite an 'accomplishment' you could say, or better yet.....something to really celebrate. Brad's brother and wife took it in their hands to plan a party for Dean and Jo. We didn't quite know what the weather would do since we are in mid-October, but wow.....we couldn't have been more pleased! The weather was just beautiful!!!

We bundled the kids up, Dylan got Grandma some fresh roses and we were off to celebrate. It was really great to see a ton of family from both sides of the family and a lot of family friends also. The guys huddled in the garage not too far from the television to watch the Iowa / Michigan game. They cheered loud and proud when the Hawkeye's pulled out a victory! Dylan had so much fun running around and playing with his cousin Jordan. Uncle Tony and Uncle Nick also had a lot of fun with Dylan. He had them doing all sorts of crazy things, not sure who had more fun Dylan....or his Uncles!

We had Danielle at the doctor earlier in the morning. Sadly she caught the Bronchitis Dylan and I both had that I brought home from work. I had just been waiting to take her in thinking she would get better. Well after a week it wasn't going away, thank goodness we went in because the doctor said it could have quickly turned to Pneumonia :( So she got an antibiotic, and thankfully didn't need a steroid. So she just relaxed all day and loved the extra snuggles she got.

We ended the evening out at Brad's Aunt Linda's house. Brad and his cousins were in rare form, I have not laughed that much in a long time. The kiddo's were sound asleep and Aunt Linda had them all tucked in while we sat up and enjoyed the good family company. It was a wonderful day, the weather was beautiful and we could not have asked for anything more!

Today we were on the hunt for some Pumpkins. When we ventured to Bloomsbury last weekend Dylan didn't want to take the time to bring home pumpkins for him and Danielle. Well all week long he has been asking when he can pick out his very own pumpkin. Silly boy.....so today we did just that! We visited a local Pumpkin Patch and had so much fun out in the patch on the lookout for perfect pumpkins for our kiddo's!

Dylan wasn't quite sure how to get the 'wood stuff' off the pumpkin stem. Don't think he quite understood how the pumpkins grow, but he was pleased when he broke the stem right off the vine and he 'freed' the pumpkin! He picked a couple out and we looked at the kids taking Pony rides. He wasn't thinking he wanted to do that though, he was more concerned about getting to the big Hy-vee store. Crazy kid gets so excited to grocery shop which was our next stop for the day! But he was very happy to have his very own BIG pumpkins at home! The pumpkin patch is also coming to his pre-school so he will get to bring another pumpkin home next week!

We had a great weekend together, spending time with family which was very nice! I sat back and tried to imagine years and years from now when Brad and I will celebrate 35 years of marriage.....seems like such a long ways away. We will cherish every single day of every single year up until then! Marriage is such a beautiful gift and I am SO lucky to be married to the man of my dreams, the best husband and father for our children. He is my gift!

These kiddo's sure were busy the past couple days and are pooped out tonight. All snuggled in bed preparing for a busy week! Sleep tight little ones, sleep tight. Thank you lord for our family~

10/10/10 Fall fun!

What a wonderful weekend we have had with the most fantastic warm temperatures! We have had a lot of time outdoors soaking up all of the warm fall sunshine that we can. Two days in a row with the temps hovering around eighty degree's is just perfect!


Dylan has loved every minute of these warm fall days. Not only does this mean much more play time outdoors at pre-school but it also means more play time outdoors with Mom & Dad too! Danielle loves her dose of Fall fun too! She has loved continuing on with our Saturday morning lessons with Daddy! Such quality time to look forward to. I know the little girls and their Daddy's enjoy every minute of it.

We have all of the Halloween decor up now. Dylan loves to help mommy any way that he can. He loved decorating the front door this year with pumpkins and bats and candy corn!

The kids really have started to interact a lot more. Dylan love sitting on the floor and playing with Danielle. She loves sitting and watching him and playing a few tunes on her keyboard too! I love seeing the kids content with each other. Something new for this Fall and that makes a lot more fun times for these Holub siblings!

Dylan just loves riding his bike. Whether it be his tricycle or his 4wheeler, he toddles around the yard, back and forth on his bike on his feet running around, wearing his little feet in the ground! Never leaving more than a few footsteps away from Daddy, always gotta be in the shadow of Daddy because Daddy does fun boy things ya know....and Dylan likes to join right in :)

Danielle and Mommy soaked up a few rays of sunshine also. We also got the house all clean, opened up the windows to let the little warm breeze in and enjoyed the scent of a freshly lit Pumpkin Spice candle...ahhh, we love everything about fall, everything!

Our friends the Leconte's were in town from Wisconsin this weekend. And we had our 2ND annual Leconte/Holub trip to the Pumpkin Patch! We had a perfect day. It was very busy but the super great thing is that there is SO much to do that we didn't notice the numerous amount of people at all! The kids were SO excited to see each other. Dylan has talked all week long about getting to see his pals Drew and Allison and he was counting down the time to get to run and play with them. It was great to let the kids run their little hearts out, here and there and everywhere!

The tractor ride was so nice. We went all around the farm, back to the Pumpkin Patch and thru the corn maze. What an amazing day! The kids just loved jumping in the corn, going down the slide and thru the Haunted House and of course riding in the little barrels. Dylan & Allison

We were so happy that the Leconte's were able to make it back to town so close to Halloween so we could venture to the patch again. The kids were very good and had a great time. Then it was off to a nice dinner together, good conversations and kiddo's making us laugh!

Fall traditions for our family are so important and we look forward to them each and every year. The kids are bigger and older and have more fun year after year on the adventures that we take them on. We are very excited for Halloween...carving our pumpkins and trick or treating and even a kids Halloween Party!! So much fun is in store for these kiddo's and we are loving every minute of watching our little pumpkins grow up year after year! The smiles and giggles and the 'yippee' coming from Dylan as we tell him what fun is coming up next. Parenthood is so grand!~
