4th of July...Celebrating our Freedom!

The weather could not have been more perfect this holiday weekend!!! We started the weekend with a pool day at our house! We got out all 3 of the kids pools, filled them with water early in the morning and by noon they were perfect temps for the kids to swim! The Hahn's came over for a pool day and grill out. The temps got so warm that even the Mom's and Dad's got in the water for a refreshing break, it was perfect!

Sunday we kept up with tradition and headed downtown to watch the Fireworks with the Eddins family! It had been since the flood in 2008 that we had been downtown for Fireworks, and this year we opted for the Ellis Fireworks and they did not disappoint and neither did our location!
We scoped out a spot we had used in previous years and decided to try it once again, this being the first time with kids in tow. It was perfect, we were the first ones there and got the best seat in the house! Our coolers were packed with beverages and a picnic supper, toys and of course sparklers for the kids. We had a fantastic time!

The kids had fun playing with each other, picking flowers, kicking the ball and doing sparklers with their Daddy's! The weather cooled down very nice just in time for dusk and fireworks. A cool fog filled the air and we snuggled in on the blankets to watch the sky glow.

Another reminder of how blessed we are to have the Freedom we do, we celebrate and thank those who sacrifice their lives for us. God Bless the USA!
