The newest member of the LeConte's, Alex! He is SUCH a doll!!! I could have held him all day long! Little guy loves to chew on his fingers, mama things a tooth may be coming in! Adorable!!!
NICU buddies are growing up so big and strong! These boys have an incredible bond and love playing together!!! Can't wait until our next weekend venture this summer!
We had a great Good Friday spent enjoying the company of people who have become dear friends and who came into our life in the most profound way! We love getting together and so glad we have really both made it a priority!!!Saturday brought a visit with the Easter Bunny! Dylan was pretty funny, he wasn't hugely into the bunny this year as far as big smiles, but he surely wanted to sit on his lap for a few minutes!
We also took the afternoon time to color Easter eggs! This was a lot of fun!
We loved making pretty glitter ones, 2-toned ones and writing our names and making our own designs on the eggs too! Dylan had a lot of giggles and Danielle couldn't take her eyes off her big brother!
Easter morning we awoke and got a nice peek of what the Easter bunny brought these Holub kids! They must have been really good according to what we found in their baskets!!!
We took some time for a little Easter egg hunt and then got ready for church. We headed to mass at All Saints and for the first time ever Dylan went to the Children's Liturgy! We were both shocked that he went on his own, and also very proud.... but he wanted to go and took off with a few of his friends from school! Children's Liturgy is when the kids are invited forward up to the alter at the beginning of mass and then go into the Parish hall for a sort of Bible Study while the parents continue on with Mass. The Children then return right before communion. Dylan came back with a beautiful picture he colored and had a lot of fun!
Our afternoon found us at Brad's Parents for an afternoon feast! The Easter Bunny of course made a stop there and brought lots of goods for the kiddos!
Dylan hunted for eggs, climbed trees, played kick ball and had LOTS of play time with his Uncles and Daddy! It was a great afternoon and the weather could not have been more beautiful for Easter Sunday! Such a joyous day, thinking back on how Jesus gave his life for us is pretty incredible. So much to celebrate and be happy about in our lives, each life is truly a gift! Seeing the smiles on our children's faces today, as well as every day, melt our hearts. We are truly blessed!
This time of year I often also think of New Beginnings! A new beginning will become for these two come October 20th! Brad's cousin Cassie and her longtime boyfriend are getting married! We could not be happier for these two. They have to be the sweetest couple around and we are so happy for them to start their new life together, as one, this year! It is hard to believe that 10 years ago this year Cassie was in Brad and I's wedding and now......We are also SO excited that Dylan will be a part of their special day as a Jr. Groomsman in their Bridal party! We cannot wait to share your special day with you Cassie & Cody!!! Congratulations!!!
Lots to be thankful for and we sure are blessed to have the gift of life and all of those who are in it! We hope your Easter was spent with the ones you love.~
